Today we drove from Columbia, SC to Charlotte, NC.
The trip was extrememly adventurous! We faced many trucks and idiots while heading North in I-77. It was a very scenic drive, with the highway littered with growing trees and road signs along the way. Not to mention all of the great billboards!
Of interest during this leg of the trip:
1. Lunch and Groucho's in Blythewood SC. Our first stop for local food was a good one! We filled up on sandwiches that can be dipped in Groucho's signature 45 sauce. If you ask me....it's basically a home-made 1,000 Island sauce, but good none-the-less.
2. Gas in Rock Hill, SC. Wow...gas for only $3.75 a gallon! Makes me wish I could fill up a couple of cartons here and use it later on the trip. This is way better than the $6.50 per liter we'll be paying up in Canada!
